About The Practice

You can anticipate something a little different at your first appointment with us. Instead of the standard teeth cleaning and cursory 5-minute dental exam, we start with a comprehensive 1 1/2 hour examination appointment.
  
We examine your current restorations, check the condition of your teeth, take any necessary x-rays, test the health of your gums, and check for any bite disorders. During this time we check for structural issues that may be causing uneven wear, breakage or even cavities.  Then if you are a candidate, we test for the presence of cavity causing bacteria.

This assessment and screening provides us with very valuable information we can use to practice minimally invasive dentistry and reduce your time and money spent in the dental chair.

 

About Dr. Shary Henderson

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

 

Dr. Shary Henderson graduated from the University of Detroit Dental School in 1992 and immediately began work as an associate in a large dental office in Rochester, Michigan. After 8 years she felt that this type of dental atmosphere was not fulfilling her dreams. By the end of 2001 she began her own practice with the vision of providing advanced dental care in a warm, caring environment with a focus on prevention.

After some research, she decided the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education would best provide the tools she needed to have the dental practice of her dreams.

 

She started her studies at the Institute in early 2002 and her commitment to dental excellence is ongoing.

She continues to study with world renowned dental professionals who are masters in their specialties.

 

Shary has also been very active serving the community with her volunteer efforts for the Leader Dogs for the Blind and the Rochester Christmas Parade. Recently married, she and her husband Bill serve the church by heading the Missions Board. Her passion is to worship the Lord with music and she is the percussionist for her church worship team.

 

A Note from Dr. Shary

Your first visit to our office is a chance for us to get to know each other and decide if you would like to become a part of our patient family. You will get a chance to interview us and we will find out if our philosophy of dentistry and values are similar to yours.

 

Our office is fully committed to helping you achieve optimum oral health. We take all the time needed to do a thorough examination and advise you on the three disease states of decay, gum disease and bite disorders because we believe that treatment and prevention of all three enable us to deliver predictable, esthetic results.

 

About Wendy Gruber, Dental Assistant

Wendy has lived in Rochester Hills for 20 years with her husband Joel, 2 college students and 2 very sweet black labs. She is Dr. Henderson's chairside assistant and enjoys working with her and all of our patients. Wendy is enthusiastic about continuing education and learning new ways to provide our patients with the very best dental care in a warm and friendly enviornment.

About Charlene Peyok, Front Desk

Charlene has worked in the dental field for over 16 years. Her smiling face and friendly voice is likely to be the first you will come across at our office. Charlene manages all financial aspects of your care and is available for questions regarding finances, billing and dental benefits. Outside of work Charlene enjoys spending time with her husband Bob of 40 years and her 2 beautiful grandaughters.
